He (Steve Kaufman) was legendary. He is remembered as a trailblazing American pop artist, former assistant to Andy Warhol, and most notably, a generous humanitarian.

On a scale of 1-10, this day was off the charts! Peter Tuchman invited me to come to the New York Stock Exchange and show me around. He is the face of the NYSE. He looks like Einstein and a down to Earth great guy with great passion for life, his family, his job and art. . . He contacted me because he thinks Steve Kaufman’s work is outstanding.❤️

Peter gave me an amazing tour of the exchange floor, board room and the art gallery that he curated in the hallway of the NYSE offices.

Besides being a stock trader for nearly 30 years, he also has a passion for art and promoting artists that he finds remarkable. He curated events with 3 amazing artists that he found on Instagram. @King Saladeen @mr_e @johnborn . Peter recognized their great talent. Their work is global and IS the art in the NYSE art gallery!.

Exhibition opened on April 4 and ran thru April 29, 2018. Just Back from a successful European tour, Dana Blum and Diana Vachier talked about Steve and his work and the impact on the art scene of the 1980s and beyond. The public was invited to attend a special reception at the BJ Spoke Gallery On Saturday, April 7, from 6-9 PM.
