American Pop Art, Inc. presents Steve Kaufman Art for 2012 Dritte Lions Club Kaprun Charity Gala in Austria

June 20, 2012 / Kaprun, Austria -- American Pop Art, Inc., a virtual art gallery at www.americanpopartinc.com exclusively dedicated to Steve Kaufman art, is proud to announce its contributions to the 2012 Dritte Lions Club Kaprun Charity Gala. This event, scheduled for Saturday, July 7, 2012 in Kaprun, Austria, will help support the integration of young people with disabilities into society and the workplace, and renovations at Children's Village Sankt Anton (St. Anton Children's Village).

Festivities will take place during the day at the Golf Club of Zell am See, and in the evening at the historic 12th century Castle of Kaprun. American Pop Art, Inc. contributions for this year’s event include a Steve Kaufman painting of Albert Einstein, and Steve Kaufman’s Coffee Table book that contains his full biography and photos of his art.

Former assistant to Andy Warhol, Steve Kaufman is remembered as a charismatic American pop artist and a generous humanitarian. His subjects included iconic brands and many famous people including Marilyn Monroe, Mozart, Beethoven, Mohammad Ali, and many world leaders.

Proceeds from the 2012 Dritte Lions Club Kaprun Charity Gala will help young people with disabilities to find jobs, a place to live, and promote their acceptance in everyday life, building stronger self-esteem. Many of these individuals may be seen greeting guests and providing assistance during the 2012 Dritte Lions Club Kaprun Charity Gala. Funds will also help finance renovations at the nearby St. Anton Children's Village, which cares for about 60 physically and mentally challenged children, providing education in a family-style environment.

“Steve Kaufman showed me the importance of giving back, and in this spirit, I want to do the same,” said Diana Vachier of Long Beach, NY, who had worked with the late artist since 2001. “Steve Kaufman’s Albert Einstein piece is a classic. We want people to think, then give from the heart.”

In Steve Kaufman’s memory and tradition of helping people in need, twenty percent of proceeds from the American Pop Art Inc. web site Charity Art page at www.americanpopartinc.com/charity will go to a charity of the buyer’s choice.

Art has always been a strong component of the Dritte Lions Club Kaprun Charity Gala. Artists featured in previous years include Anton Thuswaldner, Chris Johnston a.k.a. Icebear, and Wolfgang Wiesinger-Halbach.
